A parent's guide to sizing up (or not)

The instinct to size up makes sense — kids grow fast, and a bigger size feels like better value. But there's a point where "room to grow" just becomes "fabric they'll trip over."

Our rule of thumb

For everyday wear — tees, joggers, dungarees — sizing up one size is usually safe. For sleepwear and anything with drawstrings or loose hems, we'd size to their current measurements instead; loose sleepwear is a real safety consideration, not just a fit preference.

Check our size guide for actual measurements rather than age labels — kids on the same birthday can need two different sizes.
